A Nice Place To Visit

Thanksgiving is a weekend for most of us to relax, enjoy family gatherings, and be thankful and grateful for all that we have in our lives… For my friends in L.A. that means a 4 day weekend of no sleep to party it up! Now, as much as I would of loved to be on a four day binge of drinking and wild’n'out… I decided to take a change of pace and visit my friends and family back home in Sonoma Valley, a little town just west of Napa and Vallejo in Northern California… And if you’ve never been there, it’s an interesting fusion of relaxation, posh lifestyle, and of course VINO!

In the heart of the wine country, Sonoma is like “Cheers,Where Everybody Knows Your Name And were they glad I came, (back to visit that is) LOL Here you can take a stroll through the park downtown, have a pint at the local pub, or wine taste your ass off As a matter of fact, I think I just moved my 4 day binge up to the bay I havent drunk that much wine since I left there 2 years ago!

I flew in from LAX into SFO on Thursday, after missing my first flight from being too drunk the night before (Whoever told me it was a good idea to book a flight at 6:30 in the morning, you’re about to be shot!! JK) So, after spending a couple of hours in the airport, I finally got on the plane and was in the city of San Francisco by 2, just in time to make it for Thanksgiving dinner.. My family always celebrates the Day of Thanks in Chico, CA, home of Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. and Chico State University(The two go hand in hand… trust me) And after a long night of food and alcohol, Sierra Nevada seemed like the only perfect ending to a trip in Chico. There, I had this Beer Tasting Sampler Extravaganza! It was awesome, 15 different types of beer to drink all to myself!!! Who would want anything more  It sure made the 3 hour drive back to wino-town much easier

Anyway, once back in Sonoma, I had to hit up a few “hot spots there and run into everyone Ive ever known to grow up there I.E.
steinersSteiner the local biker bar, where Brian, Paul and all the other bartenders will throw together any of your everyday cocktail favorites But be sure to take cash with you or youll be hunted the next day after not being able to pay your tab!! Here you find an atmosphere full of first timers, as well as seasoned vets that frequent the bar every other night Often times, this is one of the first bars a Sonomian will stop at when they turn 21 (Or sometimes before)

Why was it that I was the last one in the place at 2am!!? Lol.. Im a mess!
murphys-logo.JPGMurphys Irish Pub: walk up to this traditional Irish pub, and youll meet some of the most interesting people that live in Sonoma Murphy, it is a spot where you can see live music almost every day, as well as join in a game of Trivia every week. Hit up Hunt at the bar & get a pint If you dont know what you like, he„¢s pretty good at suggestions! :) Meritage, the Girl and the Fig, EDK, Mary„¢s Pizza Shack and The Swiss Hotel are also a few spots to check out when in the area The great thing about Sonoma is, because its such a tiny town, all of these places are within walking distance, literally within a block of each other. Also, for some reason, (maybe it„¢s the fact that all who live there are alcoholics) public drinking is allowed downtown, so feel free to walk around the park with drink in hand!!
Anyway, after a long 4 day weekend of bar hopping, eating, and relaxing, Im finally back in So Cal doing my thing!Until next timeme-and-beka.JPG
