The Sicilian Mafia, also known as simply the Mafia and frequently referred to by members as Cosa nostra, is a criminal syndicate in Sicily, Italy. It is a loose association of criminal groups that share a common organisational structure and code of conduct. The basic group is known as a “family”, “clan”, or “cosca”.

This particular idea has to do with the fact that we as Americans place a high value on European culture as well as its goods and services, such as exotic travel destinations in Europe.
The Italian mafia is extremely popular in American pop culture, and just this small glimpse into what it actually looks and feels like in the “Old Mother Country” of Sicily, Italy is extremely valuable to American viewers as well as the global population in general.
Overall, it is what sets you apart and makes you distinct, your knowledge of both European and Brazilian culture, and you would be acting as a field agent or correspondent for the audience with your adventures if you address the situation as such.
