In the news recently on the Today Show, First Lady Michelle Obama was asked about her views on Facebook and how it applies to the lives of her children in which she stated that she was not a fan of the social media website for children of that age and how it was not something that they needed.

Some form of what I consider as a media suppression then resulted in which journalist were quick to state the facts which are that the age limits for Facebook are not in line with the ages of the children of the first family, to help dispel the notion that she was and is not a fan of the social media site in general.

Should we then as grown ups of a mature age question whether or not she herself is actually a fan of the social media site in general and if she could actually justify it not being necessary for younger children, and at the same time invest vast amounts of her own time and energy into the social media site activities other than those which apply to her role as a public servant, as it is a commonly held and accepted notion that children do actually use the examples of their parents and other trusted adults behaviors as models of what is appropriate for their own.
