Welcome Home.
It is that time of the year again, where we conduct one of our annual Facebook Fasting initiatives here at Your Friendly Neighborhood PimpHop.com, and it usually comes during one of the four months in a year where there is a change in seasons.

Over time, the situation with social media addiction shows to be beyond just Facebook, and much more about the attention paid and time spent staring into the screen of a smartphone and or personal computer in general, at the people, places, and things which over time, prove to be a distraction, yet since Facebook is still the leading online social networking service and yours truly does not have a Instagram account and uses Twitter sparingly, we will initiate this process to ensure that our time and attention automatically flows elsewhere and report back with our findings in July when we will officially be in the 2014 Summer season.

Stay Tuned.

This post is  about more of an administrative subject matter as applied to information technology business, yet since life on Earth as we currently know it as is technologically dependent, the information may be of use for more individuals than what would appear to be on the surface.

Facebook From An Administrative Perspective

While conducting research on the MSDN.com (Microsoft Developers Network) website, the term username showed up on the screen which led to a thought about what the term user actually describes, and from somewhat of an urban perspective, and even suburban at times, the term user is usually one of disparagement towards another (a diss).

user
(Urban Dictionary Definition)

user (n.) – a person who uses a friend or aquaintance
solely for the purposes of gaining a type of advantage;
whether it be:

1) when no one else is around, they need
someone (like you) to take them places

2) someone who doesn’t include you in any activities that they have
with their friends, who you too, are friends with, yet
YOU would invite him or her in a heart beat

3) a person who completely ignores you when he or she
is with a group of people who may be cooler than you

4) a person who can call you ANYTIME and you would be there for them,
and yet if you try to call him or her, they will not pick up;
however, ONLY for using purposes he or she would pick up,
like if he or she needs a RIDE somewhere (yet they would pick up
their phone for any other person)

5) a person who constantly gives you excuses…when you know he or she is completely full of SHIT, and even after all this, this person still calls you their “friend”
