According to my own observation of the facts, Rolling Stone places suspected Boston Marathon Bomber image on the cover of their publication(stimulus) which sparked a large scale public outcry starting with statements made on Twitter (response).
If they (Rolling Stone) would have placed some of the heroes from the incident on the cover of their publication(stimulus), it in all likelihood would then have led to an expression of joy and compassion with statements made on Twitter(response).
Some words and pictures on the cover of a popular publication or even on the Internet as stimulus lead to positive or negative emotional responses from the public?
Wow!
Now that’s what I call power, and as for yours truly, a great reason to start up a publication as whether the response to the stimulus is positive or negative, the stimulus itself sparks debate, which is simply the comparing, contrasting, and expressing of different opinions for public consideration.
