Amazon.com has recently released its latest versions of the Kindle eReader, in WiFi format @ $139 U.S.D. and WiFi 3G format @ $139 U.S.D. This is a factor of great importance for the digital media arena as we are seeing prices for eReaders continuously drop as the demand for online content increases with greater user familiarity, interest, and content availability.
The Kindle now comes equipped with its own custom web browser for its new versions, and the transformation of the publishing industry from a traditional print on paper format to an across the board paperless digitatl format is slowly but surely reaching its full potential, and with Amazon.com as the industry leader in online book sales and distribution, it will be interesting to see what they are able to accomplish in pursuit of this transformation amongst other technology companies who are newer to the digital and traditional publishing industries in general.
