Whether Nigger or Slave, Jim Can Only Be What He Was Written In The Script To Be
|If you even clicked this post title or maybe just the tittle drew you in, you already know about the debate regarding a publisher editing out the word nigger and replacing it with the word slave as an alternative of the character known only as Jim, in the American literary classic known as Huckleberry Finn.
Keeping it brief, and as a unique approach, I can say that it reminds me of a conversation that I once had with one of my Nigerian homies when he described his and other African natives bewilderment as to why their African American brothers look at them in a condescending manner.
I made a vain attempt to kick some wisdom as to my understanding of the reasons why, which is simply that it is what most African Americans have been told about themselves by Caucasians and Semitic Jews that are responsible for media and publishing business which is where the public receives most of their education and programming from.
I said in vain because his response was simply that they already knew all of that, and know more about the subject of slavery than most African Americans do, yet are still perplexed as to why their African American brothers believe and accept everything that um, White people said about everything, including their own self and heritage even though the end results continuously show up as other than all to the good.
That I did not have an answer for, yet if I was to keep it PIMP, since I know how to read, write, speak, count, and think, I would say why not just become an author, write your own stories, and even start your own publication as an outlet which would then eliminate the need to be on some cry baby shit in regards to what some other person chooses to call you and define you as, because my own definition of both nigger and slave is simply any individual who is without the willingness to or capability of thinking for ones own self and are dependent on outside operating/belief system programming similar to a robot, or computer in order to function and survive.
Then again, that’s just me, with yet another different perspective to consider.
