As has been known to happen from time to time, it appears that someone in the film industry circuit may have borrowed one of
my scripts and or gained some much needed creative inspiration from the content found within these walls thus adding even more value to what is being offered.

The name of this feature film is Columbiana, starring Dominican/Puerto Rican actress Zoe Saldana, playing the role of a super shero/villian in search of retribution.

A young woman, after witnessing her parents’ murder as a child in Bogota, grows up to be a stone-cold assassin.

For those unaware, Zoe has aquired some impressive film credits including but not limited to her notable roles as

Uhura in the 2009 Srar Trek movie,

and as Neytiri in the highest box office grossing film in history Avatar.

While the film is already receiving lackluster reviews from critics, the value of the role and Zoe Saldana’s contributions lay in the fact that doors of opportunities have been opened for what is often classified as “ethnic” talent to star in roles as such as a central character similar to Angelina Jolie, and moving the film industry forward, past the Tyler Perry style typecast blocks that appear to be recurring in my opinion, way too frequently.

All we need now is more intricate and provocative storylines, and from the looks of it again, it appears that
