The suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing have been identified as brothers Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and Tamerlan Tsarnaev. Their family apparently originated in Chechnya, in the northern part of the Caucasus Mountains. In 2008, Explainer addressed the question of why we refer to white people as Caucasian.
