Are you using Twitter’s #music app yet?
|Just when you thought we have more that enough places to gain access to music, Twitter decides to jump in the game. About 12 days ago #music was launched and here is what the folks at Twitter had to say.
Today, we’re releasing Twitter #music, a new service that will change the way people find music, based on Twitter. It uses Twitter activity, including Tweets and engagement, to detect and surface the most popular tracks and emerging artists. It also brings artists’ music-related Twitter activity front and center: go to their profiles to see which music artists they follow and listen to songs by those artists. And, of course, you can tweet songs right from the app.
Currently Twitter #music grabs songs from other services like iTunes, Spotify or Rdio, with plans to incorporate more music services soon.
You can access Twitters new music services from the Twitter #music app for Apple devices or using your web browser (sorry Android you will get your turn later).
Give this new service a try and let us know what you thinks.
