Pimps up, hoes down: Lil Mama helps to humanize Falicia Blakely in “When Love Kills”

In preparation for the film, Lil Mama says she learned to “develop a vulnerability” to play Falicia. She also discovered that the relationship between Falicia and her pimp Dino, wasn’t quite what she expected.

“It’s crazy because, you know, your idea of what a pimp and a hoe may be is not what’s actually happening. There is a lot of love that goes into it,” she says. “There’s a lot of trust and loyalty.”
