Has Your Comfort Zone Become A Trap?

Comfort Zone

The comfort zone is a behavioural state within which a person operates in an anxiety-neutral condition, using a limited set of behaviours to deliver a steady level of performance, usually without a sense of risk (White 2009).[1] A person’s personality can be described by his or her comfort zones. Highly successful persons may routinely step outside their comfort zones, to accomplish what they wish. A comfort zone is a type of mental conditioning that causes a person to create and operate mental boundaries. Such boundaries create an unfounded sense of security. Like inertia, a person who has established a comfort zone in a particular axis of his or her life, will tend to stay within that zone without stepping outside of it. To step outside a person’s comfort zone, they must experiment with new and different behaviours, and then experience the new and different responses that then occur within their environment.

Moving right along.
I actually had a de ja vu of sorts that showed that when I posted an entry about this very topic, I would begin to see changes for the good in my own life. When I ask myself about the possible reasons, it is simply due to the fact that it is this very subject that holds so much weight and how I deal with it needs to be approached differently.

It holds weight for me as an individual who is somehow in reverse in my psychology, through the fact that my zone of discomfort is actually what many would consider as a zone of comfort as the trap part attached to the zone of comfort is of greater stress than the actual comfort itself, so to keep it brief, it would stand to reason why my spider senses always begin to tingle when I look at the actual source code behind what I am seeing on many of the popular social media websites and associated lack of forward progress in modern society as a whole.

It’s different strokes for different folks none the less, so now that we have it in writing, we all can decide according to what works best for us.

My own personal stance for those interested in knowing is as follows.

Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
