Social Status – Social Media – Pimp Status
In sociology or anthropology, social status is the honor or prestige attached to one’s position in society (one’s social position). It may also refer to a rank or position that one holds in a group, for example son or daughter, playmate, pupil, etc.
Social status, the position or rank of a person or group within the society, can be determined two ways. One can earn their social status by their own achievements, which is known as achieved status. Alternatively, one can be placed in the stratification system by their inherited position, which is called ascribed status. ascribed statuses can also be defined as those that are fixed for an individual at birth. Ascribed statuses that exist in all societies include those based upon sex, age, race ethnic group and family background. For example, a person born into a wealthy family characterized by traits such as popularity, talents and high values will have many expectations growing up. Therefore, they are given and taught many social roles as they are socially positioned into a family becoming equipped with all these traits and characteristics. Achieved statuses meaning also what the individual acquires during his or her lifetime as a result of the exercise of knowledge, ability, skill and/or perseverance. Occupation provides an example of status that may be either ascribed or achieved, it can be achieved by one gaining the right knowledge and skill to become socially positioned into a higher position of that job; building a persons social identity within the occupation.
If you care to know what my opinion is, it is simply that since I was blessed with a brain that was furnished to me by my creator, as a show of appreciation, I would be wise to simply put it to good use by figuring this and other relevant situations out.
Status is the word, and like all words, it has a commonly accepted definition, which is what we started with.
It describes two forms of status, one being achieved, and the other ascribed.
From what I can tell, both are actually usually equated through the opinions of others in a social setting.
When it comes to each, I would venture to say that at some point in time, some form of a collective body got together to compose a script in regards to the assigned positions within a social order as most individuals do need to look for some form of a program source in regards to what is and what is not.
The next step was to create some form of a machine which distributes the programming to be consumed by individuals, and we can
classify it as a stereo, in which individuals develop and distribute the programs/scripts through typing, hence you have the term stereotype.
A stereotype is a commonly held public belief about specific social groups or types of individuals. The concepts of “stereotype” and “prejudice” are often confused with many other different meanings. Stereotypes are standardized and simplified conceptions of groups based on some prior assumptions.
At some point in the worlds history, during the digital age, a few individuals who decided to use their brain reached a knowledge of self through
self realization which then follows with the knowledge of ones capabilities of writing, speaking, and thinking subsequently noticing a disagreement with
the pre set social status quo which was ascribed from birth through a feeling of discomfort in their own skin through these pre conceived notions of status.
This led to the development of more suitable scripts along with a new and improved stereo system to broadcast the scripts over broadband Internet connections based on computer networking architecture which is comprised of two classes of machines, clients and servers.
Enter into the equation the new level of status known as Pimp Status, which allows for these and other capabilities, which led to the creation for more suitable level of status on a global scale for those who were dissatisfied with the prior pre conceived ascribed positions.
