The battle for market dominance in the smartphone arena has expanded to now include a Verizon/Google Tablet PC to compete with the recently released Apple iPad.
Verizon Wireless is working with Google Inc. on a tablet computer, the carrier’s chief executive, Lowell McAdam, said Tuesday, as the company endeavors to catch up with iPad host AT&T Inc. in devices that connect to wireless networks.
The details are still being worked out, yet in the name of evolution, it would be a fair guestimation to believe that the demand for new and improved content, apps, and service developments for the Internet, which these devices are used to connect to would likewise increase simultaneously.
