Sympathy

Sympathy (from the Greek words syn “together” and pathos “feeling” which means “fellow-feeling”) is the perception, understanding, and reaction to the distress or need of another human being. This empathic concern is driven by a switch in viewpoint, from a personal perspective to the perspective of another group or individual who is in need. Empathy and sympathy are often used interchangeably. Sympathy is a feeling, but the two terms have distinct origins and meanings. Empathy refers to the understanding and sharing of a specific emotional state with another person. Sympathy does not require the sharing of the same emotional state. Instead, sympathy is a concern for the well-being of another. Although sympathy may begin with empathizing with the same emotion another person is feeling, empathy can be extended to other emotional states.

Moral Of The Story

Authentically speaking, while this message and tone may appear to some as socially suicidal, a different perspective to consider is the best policy of honesty, which will confirm that there are many who may be unknowingly seeking sympathy from individuals who actually troll the internet in search of other peoples problems to be sympathetic about from a insincere, “better you than me” position, in an attempt to cope with their own problems by knowing that they are not alone in their own individual problematic lives and can win in a contest of searching for someone with an even worse problem in game called the biggest looser.

Also, for the record, it has been confirmed by the wise that the emotion actually tends to come before the incident that individuals are giving and receiving sympathy for and not after.
